- What is this?
- Jale is a marketplace for Tulsa. People with a job post it, local contractors bid, and the person who posted chooses. Contractors can join free and get invited to jobs that fit what they do.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Posting a job is free and joining as a contractor is free.
- How do I get bids on my job?
- Post your job. We invite the local contractors who do that kind of work. They send us their price and we pass the bids to you by text and email. You choose who to hire.
- Do contractors see each other's prices?
- No. Contractors never see each other's prices.
- Do I need an app or a password?
- No app and no password. Sign in with just your email and we send you a link.
- What are the skills tests?
- Optional quick quizzes for each trade. Pass one and your profile gets a Skills Verified badge. When a job comes in, we invite contractors with badges first.
- Do I have to take the tests?
- No. They are optional, but they help you get picked.
- Can I add photos of my work?
- Yes. After you join, open your profile and add up to 12 before and after photos.
- What will you text me?
- A short message when a job fits your trade and area, with what the job is and how to reply if you want to bid.
- Why do you need so many phone numbers?
- Phones get lost and numbers change. A backup number helps us reach you. We only use it to reach you.
- Do you need my ID, Social Security number or address?
- No. We don't ask for any of that.
- What if I don't want texts?
- Texts and emails are how jobs reach you, so you agree to them to join. You can reply STOP at any time.
- Do I have to have insurance?
- No. It's optional. If you have it, tell us. Some jobs prefer it.
- How do I change my prices later?
- Log in with your email, open Prices and trades, change what you want and save.
- Is every contractor guaranteed work?
- No. We invite the contractors who fit each job. We can't promise a number of jobs.
- Are you the contractor?
- No. Jale is a marketplace. You hire and pay the contractor directly, so ask about licenses and insurance before you hire.
